EASY ON THE HOT SHOWERS...

INFLAMED ACNE TREATMENTS     916SKIN - ACNE CLINIC

Easy on the hot showers. A steaming hot shower may be a great way to relax, but if you have inflamed acne, it will only set you back.

When addressing inflamed acne, eliminating redness is always the primary goal in getting clear. This includes red pimples and any redness in the surrounding skin. Irritating acne products, intense exercise, saunas, hot tubs, hot showers, or anything that causes the skin to be inflamed - should be avoided until the inflammation has completely subsided.

To cool the body, blood vessels dilate allowing more blood and heat to reach the skin's surface. This response only exacerbates inflammation. To help quench the redness, choose warm showers over hot and ice inflamed skin and acne 2 to 3 times a day for 3 to 5 minutes.
