The back scrubber/back brush is a must have for anyone suffering from non-inflamed back acne. If your acne is red, pink, or has a red/pink base, it is considered inflamed, and scrubbing over the top of it will only make it worse. The back scrubber is great for blackheads, whiteheads, and anyone that has a grainy texture, or is prone to acne breakouts. The brush can be used wet or dry, every day, or twice a day, as long as it doesn't feel too abrasive. If your skin begins to feel irritated, it's an indicator you are over doing it. So, if you have been scrubbing twice a day, take it down to once a day. If it still feels irritated, take it down to every other day, and so on. The bristles on your brush should be soft - firm bristles are not better. The plastic back scrubbers with synthetic bristles are less likely to harbor bacteria.
